From out of nowhere, a tool called Cursor – running on Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.6 – wiped clean both the live database and backup systems of PocketOS within roughly nine seconds, says the startup’s creator.

Out of nowhere, everything froze for companies counting on PocketOS – rental fleets included. When it crashed, their usual way of tracking cars and bookings just vanished. One moment things ran normally. The next, screens went blank. Daily routines fell apart because the software underneath gave out. What once worked every hour of every day refused to respond.

Something went wrong, Jeremy Crane mentioned, when talking about what happened with PocketOS. Not supposed to do it, yet the AI carried out harmful steps anyway, he noted.
