Apple’s next AirTag will come in 2025 with privacy upgrades.

The new AirTag may be harder to tamper with.

Apple is making considerable strides to fortify privacy aspects in the new version of its AirTag. It is expected that the second-generation AirTag will be introduced halfway through next year and will sport a more complex casing designed to make the infiltration of specific parts like the speaker impossible.

At present, there is a serious problem with the existing AirTag model in that the speaker is removable with ease. This speaker can be taken out to mute alert sounds that warn of the presence of an unknown AirTag within proximity in order to avoid unwanted surveillance. The enhanced version of the device seeks to resolve this problem by ensuring that the speaker component is much more firmly embedded into the device making it harder to lose.

Beside improvements which are in place for the speaker security, the recent AirTag will also witness improvements regarding its range and wireless capabilities. This implies that users will enjoy a better connection and tracking capability.

In spite of these, the comprehensive look and model of the AirTag will to a great extent remain what most people are used to. It is obvious that Apple’s attention is on enhancing the safety of these devices as much as possible, especially eliminating the invasions of privacy that are typical of such devices.
