Casio’s first smart ring has innovative features like a stopwatch and flashing alarm

In honor of its golden jubilee, Casio has unveiled a digital ring watch named CRW-001-1JR. This modern yet vintage piece watch is about 1 inch in diameter and equips a unique six-segment LCD which is also retro in nature.

The three functional push button along the watch permits users to orientate within its functions. Capabilities include a stop watch, a light to illuminate low visibility spaces, and an alarm feature to ensure users remain punctual.

One rechargeable battery is used in the CRW-001-1JR and has a favourable lifespan of 2 years. In addition this battery is installable so the watch will not be thrown away in case it stops working permanently.

The attention to detail in the watch’s construction is impressive; the watch is formed in one piece using a process known as metal injection molding. This approach helps maintain an even dimension for the watch which translates that the watch is kept in a US size 10.5.

Like many of its other designs, Casio has also made its own versions of these ring watches, the design borrowed from one of its popular digital watches. However, these earlier models did not have features such as those this new model has. With the CRW-001-1JR, Casio restructures its past of inventing digital watches with an appealing and pragmatic device for the present day consumers.
