How to Utilize Samsung’s Generative AI on the S24 Keyboard
The S24 Keyboard from Samsung now has generative artificial intelligence; here is how to use it.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra, its premium smartphone series. This year’s gadgets are most notable for their integrated generative artificial intelligence (AI), known as Galaxy AI, which is integrated throughout the phone’s UI and designed to simplify and ease customers’ lives.
Additionally, the keyboard on the Galaxy S24 series now has some clever AI capabilities added by the South Korean tech behemoth. We’ll be going over some of the best AI functions that are available on the Samsung keyboard today.
Samsung Keyboard Has Integrated Top AI Tools
1. Rework Texts in Various Styles
Users can reword written lines in Galaxy AI in a variety of ways according to the tone of the chat. Users may instruct the AI, for example, to rewrite a statement in a formal, informal, or social media-specific tone, adding hashtags and emojis as needed.
2. Translation in Real Time
The keyboard does more than just paraphrase this year. Real-time text or message translation is now possible with the Galaxy AI.
When a user is messaging someone who doesn’t speak the same language as them, they can ask Galaxy AI to handle the translation for them rather than having to copy and paste the text each time, copy it into one of those translation apps, have it translated into the other person’s language, and then copy it back before sending it.
To finish, just press the keyboard’s Galaxy AI symbol, pick “Chat Translation,” choose the languages you wish to translate into and out of and carry on with your conversation as usual.
Both communications you send to other people and the ones they send to you will be automatically translated into the other person’s language by the AI.
3. Grammar and Spelling Pointers
After reading the material aloud, the Galaxy AI will offer suggestions for fixing any typos and grammatical errors. Although far more sophisticated and efficient than the current dictation tool, the functionality functions similarly to it.
Samsung also unveiled several additional noteworthy AI capabilities with the Galaxy S24 series, such as the following:
Circle To Search
This Google-developed function effectively blends Samsung’s generative AI capabilities with the picture and text search capability of Google Lens. When a user takes a photo of a plant using the Google app, they can simply add a question to the image, such as “Where is this plant found?” and the Galaxy AI will respond depending on the prompt.
Any other S24 app may be used in the same way. For example, let’s say you were browsing Instagram loops when you came across a piece of apparel that caught your eye and you wanted to know where you could get it. After that, all you have to do is draw a circle around the object by long-pressing the home button at the bottom of the screen, and Google will give you search results that are pertinent to the picture.
Real-time Translation
One of the best features of the Galaxy S24 is Live Translate. Its real-time voice call translation capability is even more amazing because all necessary processing is done on the device itself.
Moreover, an S24 is not required for the other party to make it happen. The gadget will interpret the call for you even if they are phoning from a landline.
Above the dialer controls, a user will see a Call Assist button when they initiate a call. The two options that appear when you touch the button are Text Call and Live Translate. The latter allows the user to choose the translation method for the call. All 13 recognized languages can be translated both ways by the device.
Assistance with Transcripts
With the integration of Samsung’s AI into the Recorder app, each speaker’s sentences in the transcript may now be automatically labeled. Furthermore, the AI may provide a brief synopsis of the whole session on the Notes app for users who unintentionally miss portions of a lecture or group meeting.
