iOS 18.2 Beta 2 Introduces Support for Using Face ID on iPhone to Trust New Computers
The comprehensive update to iOS 18.2 is set to take place in the month of December and will enhance the user experience, especially in a way that relates to security and the introduction of new features. One of the changes that stands out is the removal of the need to enter a passcode when users want to ‘trust’ a new computer.
This improvement makes it simple, as many people able to use their iPhones on many different computers find it more appealing. This evolution comes more than a decade later after Apple mooted the idea of the Trust This Computer feature, aimed at the iPhone device. This means that the user gets to choose what computers are allowed to access the content from the device. If a user declines to ‘trust’ the said computer, a reminder will continue to pop up anytime the user connects their phone to that laptop.
In addition to this key security enhancement, iOS 18.2 will provide a plethora of new features, many or all of which will be based on the Apple Intelligence. Features like Visual Intelligence, which is found on the iPhone 16 generations, as well as support for ChatGPT, Genmoji, and Image Playground, will be among them. There will also be enhancements made to the Notes application, as they will also be incorporated with AI in order to improve the overall experience.
For users who may not be very keen on AI-related features or do not have a mobile device that is compatible with Apple Intelligence, the iOS 18.2 update will still come with a good new feature for helping them find misplaced objects. Users will be able to
