To follow EU rules, Apple is allegedly working on making it easy to change iPhone batteries. The new technology, which could come out as early as this fall, will meet the EU’s goals for recycling and sustainable design by 2027.
At the moment, Apple uses sticky strips to keep iPhone batteries in place. In the new way they are working, electricity will be used to break up the glue, making it easier for people to take out the batteries. People can swap batteries for as long as their devices last, which will help keep the surroundings clean.
It’s easier to recover electronics when they have adhesives on them, and this new idea is a big step in the right direction. As part of their efforts to follow environmental rules and make their goods more eco-friendly, Apple does this.
