iPhone 16 Pro: New Leak Might Fix One of iPhone’s Biggest Problems

iPhone 16 Pro: Potential Solution to One of the Main Issues

Apple has been attempting to address iPhone battery issues by adding larger battery capacity or upgrading the processor. All iPhone 15 models saw slight improvements in battery capacity; yet, even with such little increases, the difference was shown to be appreciable. Given that leaked information indicates even greater capacities, it appears that the iPhone 16 Pro’s battery improvements might be much more promising.

The battery sizes of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro

On Weibo, frequent and trustworthy leaker Instant Digital shared the purported iPhone 16 Pro dual battery specifications. As a result, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have larger batteries than their predecessors, with the Max having 4,676 mAh and the lesser model having 3,577 mAh.

In contrast, the capacity of the iPhone 15 Pro (review) and iPhone 15 Pro Max (review) from the previous year was 3,274 mAh and 4,441 mAh, respectively. These figures indicate that around 9% and 5% extra juice will be added to the previously revealed iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, respectively.

Will the iPhone 16 Pro’s larger batteries result in a longer battery life?

How the bigger batteries will increase the new iPhones’ real-world endurance is still mostly unknown. We may also take into account the fact that the chipset and software will have a big impact on how much power these gadgets need.

According to what we know, Apple is concentrating on making the A18 Pro chip—which will power the next generation of iPhones—much quicker to support enhanced Siri capabilities and new generative AI features. Therefore, it could be possible to schedule battery benefits to offset the new silicon’s increased performance.

However, while the A18 Pro could still function more steadily and efficiently than the A17 Pro, there’s a potential that the iPhone 16 Pro duo’s bigger cells will translate into longer runtimes. Whatever the intended use of this increased battery capacity, it is still a positive development.

Regarding the basic iPhone 16 variants, it is thought that only the smaller model would have a larger battery, while the iPhone 16 Plus will reportedly have a lower battery.

Although Apple has not yet formally announced the date of its upcoming iPhone event, we can anticipate it to take place in mid-September given the company’s typical timetable. Because of the new iPhones’ larger batteries, are you planning to upgrade?
