Leaks of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: Better specs for a cheaper flagship phone?

The long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S23 FE (review) was a welcome addition to the line. The Galaxy S24 FE, which is the cheap flagship’s replacement, will come out at any time during the rest of the year this year. We don’t have to wait to find out what’s coming because the new video just about shows the whole Galaxy device.

The official-looking marketing photos shared by Android Headlines show off the Galaxy S24 FE’s main features and specs. They also show how the next Fan Edition phone will look.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has a bigger screen.

Looking at the outside, it will have the same style as the last one, but the screen will be bigger: 6.7 inches, with a 120 Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. The smaller edges around the screen, which is very noticeable on the Galaxy S23 FE, seem to demonstrate this. It also said that the screen’s brightest point is 1,900 nits.

To protect the screen better, Gorilla Glass Victus+, which is a harder version of Gorilla Glass 5, will be used. The device has been proven to have an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water, and it has a sleek metal frame. It also comes in blue, green, silver, yellow, and graphite.

The back doesn’t say what the glass layer is, but the camera module, which has a 50 MP wide camera, a 12 MP ultrawide camera, and an 8 MP zoom camera, is marked. It looks like this is the same setup as last year, right down to the 10 MP front-facing camera.

On the inside, the Galaxy S24 FE will have an Exynos 2400e processor. The letter “e” in the name points to a type of the Exynos 2400 processor that powers some Galaxy S24 models. Along with a bigger screen, the 4,565 mAh battery size is also a little bigger. Samsung now says it can play videos for 29 hours, up from 21 hours. The real battery life would still depend on how it was used, as always.

The Galaxy S24 FE will also use Galaxy AI, just like the Galaxy S24 line. Features like creative picture editing, Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, and Live Translate were mentioned by the news source. But the latest one is said to run on One UI 6.1.1, which is built on Android 14. It may get Android 15 at the end of the year.

It’s still not clear how much it will cost. It wouldn’t be a surprise if, though, it still costs about the same as the Galaxy S23 FE. It should be made public by Samsung this month or next month.
