The Signature OLED TV, LG’s transparent television, will retail for $59,999. It is now available in the US as one of the offerings from select authorized retailers like Best Buy and LG’s official website, LG.com.

Consumers can now special order the OLED TV for exclusive access by high-tech enthusiasts. On top of everything, this high-tech television will also be revealed during a gala later tonight at Video & Audio Center.

It brings two kinds of viewing modes to people, i.e. transparent mode that allows a person to look through the panel while at the same time generating an immersive visual effect. In another, called opaque mode, it ultimately provides distraction-free entertainment via the superb imagery of the 77-inch screen. But beyond this, design-wise, the television is accompanied by several software features that differentiate this set from LG’s other models.

Even though the Signature OLED TV will really be out of range for most consumers, it is intended for the kind of people who enjoy spending considerable amounts of money on higher-end modern home entertainment.

However, if a consumer is looking for something really good for viewing but with a budget reduced to about $60,000, then the G4 is a strong alternative. On comparison, this takes performance, decorations, and functions without the crippling hole in one’s pocket that the OLED T will create.
