A few days ago, practically all of the claimed Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 technical specifications were revealed, however, there was a “small” inaccuracy. Despite the leak, Galaxy Z Flip6 may not feature an exterior IPS LCD screen but instead employs AMOLED technology.

No IPS LCD, dual AMOLED screen on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6.
This year’s Galaxy Unpacked will feature the new folding smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6, as well as the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatches, the Galaxy Ring, and possibly more.

Recently, several previews of the upcoming leaflets have appeared, including the massive leak that revealed almost all of the technical specifications: the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6’s features include an external IPS LCD screen (always 3.4 inches, like the predecessor) and the exclusive use of AMOLED panels on the high-end of the Seoul house.

Sammobile reports, citing one of its sources, that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will have a 3-inch AMOLED, 4-inch screen with a refresh rate of up to 60 Hz, similar to the Galaxy Z Flip5. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy SoC, 8 or 12 GB of RAM, a 50 MP primary camera, a bigger battery (4000 mAh instead of 3700), a vapor chamber for better cooling, and an improved hinge will be the key upgrades.

New Galaxy AI capabilities and One UI 6.1.1 could help the smartphone match the Samsung Galaxy S24 series’ record-breaking software support (7 years of Android upgrades and security patches).

It was a “false alarm” for OLED fans: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will have two AMOLED displays that will be unveiled on July 10, 2024, at Galaxy Unpacked. Expect what from Wednesday’s event?
