In Accra, Ghana, on Monday, March 25, 2024, President Akufo-Addo will deliver the inaugural address for the “Ghana Smart Schools Project.” The government is making efforts to improve e-learning and digitization, and this initiative is a component of those efforts.

Teaching and learning management systems, digital learning content, and electronic devices will be distributed to all senior high and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) schools across the country, according to a statement that was issued in Accra by the Ministry of Education and signed by the Spokesperson, Kwasi Kwarteng. The statement explained that the initiative’s goal is to improve senior high school education.

It was said that the initiative is in line with the digitalization strategy for pre-tertiary education that is being implemented by the Ministry of Education. The purpose of the government is to get Ghanaian students ready for the fourth industrial revolution by utilizing technology breakthroughs, and this helps the government achieve that goal.

To achieve the Education for Sustainable Development Agenda, which is widely regarded as a primary factor in accelerating the process of socioeconomic transformation, the Ghana Smart Schools initiative has been implemented.
