Roborock’s latest flagship robot vacuum features an arm capable of grabbing small objects.

It can pick up socks and small items to put them away.

Roborock officially announced the launch of its new robot vacuum, the Roborock Saros Z70, which is one of the top-ranking Chinese robot vacuum cleaners and household cleaning equipment manufacturers.

This vacuum cleaner collects small items that may be lying on the home floor, such as socks, sandals, and dog toys. The Saros Z70 also features the OmniGrip- foldable robotic arm with five axes of movement attached to the vacuum. The arm can lift up to 300 grams of weight, making the cleaning process easier.

It is an advanced AI-powered vacuum that can recognize and tag things it can lift while cleaning the floor. Completed in its first pass, the machine can go back to marked spots for picking up identified objects. On the second round, the Saros Z70 cleans areas that were once under these objects, promising a thorough cleaning.

Interaction with the robotic arm is possible via the Roborock application, where users will be able to define to their robotic arms the different objects it should handle and where these objects can be found around the house.

The Saros Z70 does not have the robotic strength of the fictitious Rosey the Robot, but it certainly eases the task of keeping a home tidy. The company will make Saros Z70 available for public purchase sometime this year, thus broadening the product offering.

Adding to the Saros Z70, Roborock announced two additional models of robot vacuum cleaners, a range of handheld wet-dry vacuum cleaners, and three new models of all-in-one washer-dryers. All new products follow the company’s commitment to home cleaning with clean technology.
