Rebranding Vodafone Ghana to its household name, Telecel, is the move made by Telecel Group, an Africa-focused telecommunications business, which acquired 70% of the company’s shares early last year.

In February 2023, Telecel completed the successful acquisition of Vodafone Ghana, opening the door for a major rebranding campaign.

More than just a name change, this development shows our dedication to developing Ghanaian telecommunications with a fresh focus on satisfying our clients’ changing demands.

Our rebranding is an audacious move toward a future in which our key values of innovation, quality, and customer pleasure will always be present. Our objective is to surpass Ghanaians’ expectations by offering them outstanding services, as stated by Moh Damush, CEO of Telecel Group, in a statement seen by TheGhanatech.com.

The CEO of Vodafone Ghana, Patricia Obo-Nai, expressed her excitement about the change in a statement. Our mission is to provide our clients with an excellent network that fosters connectedness and fosters both personal and business development.

The renaming will apply to Vodafone Ghana and its three subsidiaries, as per the African-focused telecommunications firm that specializes in merging telecoms with finance, e-commerce, and tech start-ups:

Vodafone Wholesale is a division of National Communication Backbone Company Limited.
Vodafone Ghana Foundation; Vodafone Ghana Mobile Financial Services Limited (Vodafone Cash)
