The CEO of TikTok is under a lot of pressure, and fans are going crazy.

President Biden signed a bill that forces TikTok to be sold to an American company or face a ban.

The US Senate passed a bill to help other countries on Tuesday, and President Joe Biden signed it on Wednesday. This has millions of Americans who use TikTok freaking out because they think the app might be banned.

TikTok CEO Shou Zi

In a video shared by the main TikTok account, Chew talked about the new moves. In the video, Chew said, “Don’t get it wrong, this is a ban.” “A ban on TikTok and a ban on you and your voice.”

As of Wednesday afternoon, more than four million people had watched the video. The comments show that people aren’t ready to leave TikTok just yet.

It looks like the pressure is growing against TikTok and its Chinese owner, Bytedance, as many people show their support for Chew’s call to action.

Others said that the site gave users “a sense of community here that we don’t have anywhere else” and helped them find “their voice and livelihood.”

At the same time, some people talked about what they had learned on the app, such as how to find good restaurants or read reviews of beauty products.

Even though Chew’s video was rebellious and app users are getting more and more angry, TikTok will not be banned any time soon.

Bytedance has between nine months and a year to sell TikTok, but only if the bill proves valid in court.
