The Intel drone is the drone of the future, designed to transport people.
Intended for commuting human beings from point A to point B, this airborne vehicle is described as the futuristic transport change. This is a hassle-free way to move from one point to another in the air. It has inside nothing but one seat and a tablet interface for easy accessibility to everyone, regardless of their levels of technical ability.
All passengers would have to do is select their destination on their own tablet and press the ‘take off’ button to get going. It is designed this way so that there is no active participation required in piloting the drone. Users can only relax during the flight without worrying about navigation and control. All operations of the drone will be outsourced to trained dispatchers who will monitor the flight remotely. This way, passengers do not have to worry about any activity during flight.
At present, this drone can fly at a maximum speed of 50 kilometers per hour, providing smooth, slow-moving travel. The drone is operated at a height of about three meters and thus has a constant altitude, which is required for urban areas, while avoiding obstacle detection. The duration of the flight is about 27 minutes; hence, the drone is efficient in covering vast distances within this short duration. It has maximum takeoff weight capacity of about 250 kilograms and, thus, has the ability to carry one passenger along with their luggage comfortably.
The drone from Intel further extends the definition of personal mobility, emphasizing the convenience, safety, and easy utilization to individuals who want to experience a novel way of moving.
