Although there might be shorter windows between the announcements and launches in the future after the iPhone SE launch, next week is when so many people easily predict it happening, with an engaged audience to follow later in February.
The device, if the generation now rumored to bear the iPhone 14 design pays off, will indeed put on a face-lift without that painfully thick bezel or the Touch ID Home button made famous by the current iPhone SE models. Further, the colossal step here is the expected introduction of Apple’s in-house modem on the iPhone SE 4-a sign that Touch ID will retire across the entire iPhone range.
Apple
Apple designed the new iPhone SE, which will be equipped with Apple Intelligence-promising a good user experience. The device will be powered by the same A18 chip in iPhone 16, so users will enjoy high performance with their phones. Besides the powerful processor, the device will have 8GB RAM to allow for smooth multitasking capabilities.
The new device will come with a USB-C port, targeting European and other markets, where regulations and customer preferences necessitate the need for alternative ports. The camera system will be upgraded from that of previous generations to a single 48-megapixel wide-angle rear camera, boasting significantly improved quality over earlier models.
The cost of the iPhone SE is set at $429; even making the price above $500 may be feasible for the new model. Many have cited that the other reasons for this change include the faster A18, Face ID, and other features that add significant value to the entire device.
The unveiling of the said iPhone SE 4 will coincide with the presentation of PowerBeast Pro 2 on February 11. Such timing would suggest that Apple meant to do a significant showcase for both devices in an attempt to capture consumer interest and further display the new piece of innovation.
