The UAE has announced a new 10-year blue residency visa.

It was stressed at a recent Cabinet meeting led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, how important it is to match economic and environmental sustainability. Sheikh Mohammed stressed how important it is to take care of the environment for the future of the business and culture of the UAE.

The UAE wants to encourage sustainability in a bigger way, and 2024 has been named the “Year of Sustainability.” The Blue Residency program is part of this effort. This project adds to the country’s ongoing work to deal with environmental problems and encourage people to live in ways that are good for the earth.

In the past few years, the UAE has created several visa programs to draw talent and investment. For example, the Golden Visa program, which started in 2019, gives investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, great students, and humanitarian leaders the chance to live in the UAE for 10 years.
