Microsoft is providing a significant update of the Windows Operating System to some Insiders who belong to the Dev and Beta channels. In this respect, this update is aimed at iPhoneholders in the coming time, Windows systems and iOS devices.

The most notable thing about this update is that now there is a new side panel in the start menu. This new panel is expected to be the one that shows the iPhone battery level conveniently. Additionally, users will be able to use messages and calls on their Windows PC, thus avoiding the need to handle them separately.

Having been available for the users of Android, this is practically a demonstration of the Microsoft project to introduce it to iOS users. The update has been verified to Windows 11 users of the latest Insider Preview Build 4805 which belongs to Beta channel version then the update start to be released gradually. Users who are employed with Phone Link version 1.24121.30.0 or above will be able to benefit from the new functionality.

The PCs that are supposed to use the feature must support Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) technology and need a Microsoft account in order to connect and to work correctly. Microsoft intends to proove the reliability of this feature in the stable channel before the feature is released. Should the update happen to work out smooth and without any surprises, then Windows 11 users will have the feature live.

iPhone users definitely will be happy to have this new feature, but they should be conscious of the fact that Beta builds often come with risks. Bugs, are usually the cases of those builds that can have a negative impact on system performance and battery life. Users should be a lot more careful while I get to test these new capabilities.
