There are currently 275M monthly active users on Threads.
Threads presently has 275 Million monthly active users.
Meta’s social network Threads hit a milestone with 275 million monthly active users. That impressive number shows that the platform launched in July this year is growing very fast.
This means that Threads was right in the crosshairs to capture those abandoning X, previously referred to as Twitter, particularly after the Elon Musk takeover. In the frenzy of finding alternatives, Threads put itself in an excellent position to be among the next big platforms.
The user base of the platform is growing at a breakneck speed: already in April 2024, there were 150 million MAUs on Threads, and just four months later, the figure came to 200 million.
This is definitely indicative that within this short span of three months, Threads have added 75 million users-sure shot to drive attention and engagement. On the conference call following the release of Q3 2024 results, Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg said the platform is adding about one million new users per day at a very healthy and consistent rate.
But growth also brings its set of problems for Threads. The site has had some issues with its moderation lately, which is annoying some users.
These challenges to content management affect the overall user experience and could impede future growth if not resolved. Despite everything, Threads remains one of the power players in social media, representative of the continuing evolution of how people continue to interact on the internet.
