WhatsApp adds long-awaited functionality in new update.

The messaging application WhatsApp has introduced a new feature dubbed ‘Lists,’ which changes the way users organize their conversations. Thanks to this feature, users can now add custom categories to their chats, a feature that most people have only experienced in email inboxes.

This update is, of course, most applicable to those who use WhatsApp primarily for work purposes. In order to add a list, a user needs to select the “+” icon available on the filter bar at the top of the Chats tab. After this, they will be able to give the list a title and specify which individual and/or group chats should comprise that list.

In case there are more than one list created, the users would be able to filter their selected lists by the filter bar. This awaited feature started on Sunday, and Meta, the parent WhatsApp company, claims all of the users will have it in a few weeks.
