Apple is developing new robots aimed at households. These toys can be in the form of people or even very abstract objects. Ming-Chi Kuo a notable Apple Supply Chain expert, announced that these developments are still in their early testing phases.

The tech giant is looking at ways to determine whether these robots are viable and likely to be commercially viable. If Apple decides to mass-produce them, they might very likely not be available in numerous numbers before 2028 or later.

The announcement came at the same time as previous reports on a different robot that looks like a lamp but moves like a living organism. Moreover, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg shared thoughts about another robot concept. This smaller design would feature a display similar to an iPad on a movable arm, so the robot is expected to be unveiled by Apple probably around 2026 or 2027.

The smaller robot will work with Apple’s Siri and other smart technologies. It should be able to recognize multiple voices, allowing for interactivity. The rumor is that this will be a high-end version of Apple’s yet-to-be-announced smart home controller, expected to hit later this year.
