Zuckerberg made some changes to Meta’s policies in response to the uproar over Trump. After the election, he suspended the company’s program to check facts. He further lowered the standards for content moderation on the platform. To further build goodwill, UFC CEO Dana White, a Trump ally, was appointed to Meta’s board.

As Meta published its latest earnings report against the backdrop of these ongoing developments. In this context, Zuckerberg expressed positive sentiments toward the company’s growth, confidently predicting that Meta’s AI tech could reach 1 billion users by the year 2025. He also mentioned a new open-source AI assistant from China by the name of DeepSeek. The United States needed its own standards in AI technology to stay competitive, Zuckerberg added.
