Stop Blaming AI. Find Out Who The Real Competitors Are

The Real Threat Isn't AI—It's Someone Who Knows How to Use It.

AI is not taking over humans. What it is doing, rather, is changing what is the most efficient worker. Someone who is able to operate AI is more likely to be able to complete tasks quicker, consider more possibilities, and spend more time critically thinking rather than doing repetitive tasks.

Look at a calculator, for instance. It did not replace accountants or engineers; rather, it made their jobs easier and more efficient. Similarly, AI makes the jobs of whoever is using it easier and more efficient. It may be able to write out a few drafts for an email, summarize a document, write a coding script, translate a document, or even organize research, but all of it will still boil down to someone checking over the work for any inaccuracies, making any final changes, and critically thinking for a better result

AI is becoming a skill and not a career.

Anyone who learns how to use AI is only improving their own repertoire of skills. A teacher may be able to make lesson plans quicker. A student may find it easier to simplify a concept. A designer may be able to think of ideas faster. Even a business owner may be able to write out marketing pieces in a fraction of the time it would have taken before. There is no denying that using AI may lead to more inaccuracies and mistakes, but it is just as vital to know how to use AI when not to use it as much as knowing how to use it at all

It is also those who think of AI as a collaborator that are reaping the most benefits. Whether it be someone learning how to use AI as a tool or just someone who is becoming more familiar with what it is capable of, anyone can learn how to use it and, in turn, better themselves.

It is becoming something that could be as routine as learning how to use email or search engines. And as it becomes more commonplace, it is those who utilize AI that are most likely to continue to thrive while those who do not may end up getting left behind, not necessarily because AI took their job away but because someone else used AI and was more competitive in the industry.
